I'm a mechanical engineering student at WPI, class of 2029. Most of my free time goes into combat robots, where I design, machine, wire, and drive fighting robots!.
I was previously a mechanical engineering intern in surgical robotics R&D at Johnson & Johnson MedTech. Before college I was technical lead on FRC Team 254.
A full redesign of my first beetleweight. It spins a hardened 4340 steel beater bar at about 28,000 RPM and runs a belt-driven four-wheel drive. It has four fronts that I swap depending on what opponent I'm fighting. You can read more about it in my portfolio!
I worked at J&J MedTech, Strategic Robotics R&D in Santa Clara, taking a robotic surgical instrument subsystem from V1.5 to a re-architected V2. At the end I presented the results to the VP of Strategic Robotics. The work is under NDA, so the portfolio shows my process but no designs.
On the 2025 robot I led design of several subsystems including the drivebase and elevator, and we were World Championship division finalists. In 2024 I led assembly and wiring along with high level design decisions and testing, and we finished as World Championship finalists.
Clankatron is a drum spinner printed entirely out of PLA. It won the club's internal competition. I've also built an AR500 horizontal spinner.
